My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience staying at Snug Harbor Inn while visiting Catalina to celebrate his birthday. We arrived on the early ferry and were delighted to find that we had been upgraded to an ocean view room and would be able to check in immediately which was so nice. The room was cozy without feeling cramped and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially enjoyed the 4 PM snacks and wine delivery to our room. Overall an excellent stay, highly recommend!!
I work on the island. Brought my in-laws over for a weekend. The Snug Harbor was a wonderful home away from home. Johnny was an exemplary host. Could not have been more accommodating. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Ten stars!
We had such an amazing visit to Avalon. The accommodations at Snug Harbor Inn were amazing. The service was impeccable. We were greeted with wine and cheese. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. You are central to town and can walk anywhere. I would highly recommend staying here. The complimentary breakfast in our room was a really nice aspect as well. Five stars all the way!
Staying at Snug Harbor Inn was a unique experience. It is a very small Inn, with not a lot of rooms. The fellow that worked there was always very welcoming. Serving us a charcuterie board and drinks in the afternoon. It felt very homey. It is located right in the town, so there is a lot of activity outside our window. I have a little $20 white noise machine-bought on Amazon, that worked excellent and we slept well. The room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Snug Harbor Inn
My husband and I took our very first trip to Catalina this weekend and we stayed at the WONDERFUL Snug Harbor Inn. The room, the service and the location were all excellent. We had a great view of the town, the water, the boats and the casino. We received snacks and wine in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. Both were delicious. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I did a ton of research before coming here and I am so glad i picked this hotel. We will defiantly be staying here again. We are already planning our next trip. Thanks you so much Sung Harbor!
First - I am very surprised this is a 2 star hotel. This should be a 5! My husband and I had a small wedding ceremony in Catalina and we stayed at the Snug Harbor Inn. We absolutely loved this place and would come again! Our room was very clean and well kept. I love that this inn only has a few bedrooms. It really did give a homey vibe when we stayed here. They gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our marriage which was so thoughtful. we loved receiving our daily charcuterie and wine glasses along with a delicious breakfast every morning. Their loafs are super yummy! It also helped us not have to eat out as much because the breakfast was very filling. The employees are awesome and so kind! I can’t express how much I love this place! Such a gem!
Catch me snuggled up at the Snug Harbor Inn any time we go to Catalina! I have stayed in about 5 different places throughout my journeys to Catalina and this one by far is my favorite. My boyfriend and I spent my birthday weekend on the island and we adored our stay at Snug Harbor. We stayed in the Santa Cruz room. The daily complimentary breakfast is not only adorable, but also delicious! It’s the perfect breakfast to share before taking off to explore the island. I took a bath during our afternoon snack and wine/champagne time. One thing I love about the new ownership and staff at this inn, is that they truly care about your time spent under their care and they are always ready to take your experience and suggestions to continue to make yours and all other guests time there special. I am a huge fan of the ice and filtered water machine. It’s SO nice to be able to get free water and ice within where you stay instead of taking trips to the corner store or trying to keep ice cold on vacation. They even have snug harbor inn water bottles there for you. The rooms are beautiful. The storage is amazing for a 6 room inn. You can even store your bags in their closet by the reception desk until you depart from the island. And the location is perfect. You have the delicious pizza right next door at Antonio’s. The store is right on the corner if you do need anything in a pinch. There’s a shop with comfy sweaters right across the walkway that stays open later than usual. I cannot stress enough how sweet and helpful their staff is. This inn breathes out a simple and yet luxurious atmosphere. It’s cute. It’s quaint. It’s modernized. After reading some of the reviews on here, we do not have any noise issues with the Chichi club once we shut our windows to go to sleep. We even walked in there to have a beer and play some pool before we went back to our room. All in all, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I’ll definitely be recommending Snug Harbor Inn to my friends and family. We already can’t wait to go back. :)
We've stayed at many places on Catalina and Snug Harbor is great! They had a welcoming happy hour the day we arrived. A continental breakfast is brought to your room every morning. The rooms are great. Really nice towels! There's no skimping at this hotel. The staff is nice and welcoming. You can also book a combo room and ferry which will save you $.
